Creative Signature Drink Names

Tianna, on April 10, 2015 at 5:36 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

My fiance and I are planning to have a signature drink served outside with our cigar bar and need help coming up with a catchy name for the cocktail.

It is actually a Greek Mojito since we are combing our cultures together. Him being Greek and myself being Latin decent.

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients

4 mint sprigs

2 teaspoons brown sugar

1/2 ounce fresh lime juice

1 1/2 ounces Metaxa (A Greek brandy sweetened with Muscat wine; aged up to 30 years)

1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice

Ice

1 ounce chilled club soda

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the mint with the brown sugar and lime juice. Add the Metaxa, lemon juice and ice. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Top with the club soda.

Any thoughts? My name is Tianna and his name is William (aka Billy)

It kinda depends on what kind of drink name you are looking for. Do you prefer the name to be a play off of what the actual drink is called? Or are you looking for a way to incorporate your names into it? You could always just do something totally unrelated to your names or the actual drink's name and call it the "Newlywed Love Potion" or something.

Actually I think just calling it a Greek Mojito is good! It implies that it's a twist on a regular mojito but incorporates something about both of your cultures.
