Creating Bridal Show Labels

Jenni, on January 5, 2016 at 1:42 PM Posted in Planning 0 21

I'm taking advice I've read here and am making some address labels to bring with me to a wedding show this weekend. For those who have experienced these shows, what do I need to include on the label? Is it my full address? I'm assuming email address as well....(I created a wedding-specific account). Will I have to include my phone number? How many people ask for wedding date?

What Tania said. I'm creating labels for a bridal show this weekend as well. You going to the houston one?

I don't believe I included my address on my labels. I think you would be good with name, email, wedding date, venue/city (if you know already), and phone number.

I got the same advice, and was wondering about this as well!

I don't think you HAVE to put your phone number, we didn't. I didn't want calls, and I don't remember stopping by any that required it for their lists. I'd bet most of them prefer email addresses anyway. Have fun! I found the one I went to very helpful. Extremely overwhelming, but helpful! The labels will be a big help Smiley smile

As a vendor, please just give your name, email address and wedding date. Smiley smile

I'm going to the houston show! The last one I went in Oct gave you numbers that you could give vendors that had your info attached, hopefully this 1 will do that.

What size labels are you using? I was just thinking about this & went on Amazon. Then I realized there's address labels & return address labels. I feel like the return ones would be better (smaller), but I'm not sure.

I'm going to be in Madison, WI. @briana, I realized as well that I only had return address labels and I worried that they are too small. Not including my mailing address will actually be really helpful.

At least your first name and first name of your FI.

An e-mail address (disposable is OK).

Your preferred date (if you don't have an actual date nailed down with a venue yet).

Your preferred location (at least the city).

Briana9 I would actually just say make them on Word and then print them at home... it'll be way cheaper. I got 750 Avery 8160 (return) labels for like $4 at Walmart and we'll probably use all the extras for when we send STDs and invites!

Don't put your phone number! They never stop calling! It's not even the real vendors either, it's the spammy ones who say you won something but there's a catch.

I forgot my phone number and totally kicked myself for it. Name, address and phone number are the big ones. Also you wedding email address. I suggest you don't use hour personal one.

I wish I would've never gone to a bridal show. They spam your email and call your phone constantly. Offer you things you "won" with strings attached. I'm getting married, no one's got time for that!!!! Worst mistake of wedding planning!!!!

Have dummy email. You will get junk wedding email for the rest of your life.

Also, if you would prefer to only be contacted by e-mail, note that on your label. I would be hesitant to give my phone number out more than a few times.

Make a separate e-mail just for wedding-related items, and just give your information to vendors you would seriously consider working with. I have a bridal showcase in a few weeks, and while I am offering a giveaway or two, I can't imagine sending someone multiple e-mails trying to follow up with them or calling their phone constantly. That just seems rude and really annoying.

Does your show include them? Mine included them for $5 extra.

Also, if possible have a date in mind (do you have a venue or church booked yet?) If not, no worries. I went before I had a date though, and put 9/19 down because that's what we wanted, but ended up going with 9/26 because that's when our officiant was available and she's a family friend.

But all the vendors had my wrong date and would call and say "We have your date open!" And then i said "9/26?" and they said "Sorry we are booked! We thought it was 9/19"

I have both a separate email and separate google phone number for anything wedding related. Once everything is all paid and done no need to keep checking. (and no more junk e-mail or calls) I've put my name, google #, email, expected date and # of guests on labels.

    Hello,

Your first name and his last nameAddress Email
Do not include phone number because that gives all vendors authorization to call you.
I just gave email due to if I would like to further work with the vendor I will reach out to them.
