Crap! My RSVP cards are wrong! (pic)

Carlene, on April 30, 2014 at 11:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

I just got my rsvp cards and I realized that there is no option to "Decline" the invite =/ Have any of you seen response cards like this before? What will the guests write if they can't make it? I was so eager/excited to get my invitations I obviously wasn't paying close enough attention! Do I need to trash these and order more or can I make these work?

I did the same thing. I've gotten "0" back for number if persons if they're not coming. People will figure it out....I hope. If not, just track them down after the RSVP date.

I just posted this same problem like two days ago. Someone on here suggested I put clear labels on them with the accept/decline lines.

I'm afraid people would assume not to send it back if they can't make it. Smiley sad

Mine does not have a decline line either. It just say ____ of ____ will be attending. In the second blank I put 2 to indicate number of guests invited. I would hope they would figure out to put the number attending in the first one

I had a place to decline written on my RSVPs and have not received one decline back, even though I know there's some people who aren't coming. My thought is that they'll only send them back if they're attending which doesn't really help the situation Smiley sad

    Hi Ladies,

You will have some people that won't respond at all and that is normal. Most will be those that don't plan on coming. You will most likely have to call as it gets closer to your date those that have not responded anyway. I would keep the cards you have. Unfortunately, it isn't always a perfect science to get guests to respond. I hope that helps a little Smiley smile ~ Classic Touch Events

I just received a wedding invitation like yours and I too wondered how to decline since we'll be out of state. I figured I'll use the envelope to return a gift card (present) and I'll write a note on the back declining the invite.

If I got that and couldn't go I would probably just write a note on it saying congratulations, but unfortunately, I can't attend. Or something

Its okay. If a guest can't make it, they will just not send anything back. Don't stress!
