When I started planning I went to pinterest first and saved inspiration pictures for decor. Once I had a theme and narrowed down a style to focus on, my MOH and I started planning what we would DIY and what would be easier to rent or buy. My DIY projects included flower girl ribbon wands, a flower crown, turning a trinket box into a ring box, signs, and custom mountain centerpieces. I also DIY'd save the date cards back around the holidays and made them combo Christmas/Save the Date Cards. I still have a few projects left that I'm debating - vow books, Mr/Mrs sign for the sweetheart table, and my MOHs and I plan to DIY flowers.

Once you have an idea of what you want, it'll be easier to start planning projects. Good luck!

Here are some decor things you can make yourself. I'm not sure what all you want as your centerpieces or around your venue, but either of these vases wouldn't be hard to make. You can find cylinder vases at the Dollar store and modge podge glitter on to them (like the bottom picture) or glue a silver ribbon around (like the top picture).
