Covid Postponement caused my flower girl and ring bearer to outgrow their clothes

Meg, on February 8, 2021 at 1:18 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

Hello,

I was one of the first covid postponements in our area. The state of Alabama enforced stay at home order on March 19th when my wedding was planned for March 28th. We postponed the ceremony (and downsized) and were able to get married in July. The local flower girl was able to walk down the aisle and wear her dress however my other flower girl and ring bearer were unable to travel. We will be having our reception when all of this mess is over (hopefully September 2021) but with the new date, none of the children will be able to fit their clothes. What should I do? Has anyone else had this issue?

I will still be honoring/recognizing them at the reception along with photos so they need to match.

I wouldn't buy them another outfit. Could you even exchange theirs?

I need to buy my ring bearer (son) a new one also. Also the groom, groomsman, 2 bridesmaids attire because we are changing the venue and theme. We are postponing for 2 years. You can buy them new ones or skip them all together.

I am having the same issue. I have three younger sisters 11, 13, and 14 now going on 11, 14, and 15. The two younger ones don't fit into their dresses anymore. I feel soo bad that my mom now has to fork out another $200 for new dresses. One might be able to be let out, but the other grew taller and it's too short!
