Does anyone know that the current guidelines are for a wedding reception in Texas. I am getting married Sep. 5th and my venue gave me ceremony and dinner guidelines but I can't find anything for the drinking, dancing portion of the event?

Hi Catrina! I believe Abbott recently banned gatherings of more than 10, but it depends on your specific county so you'll have to check!

Hey Catrina, what county are you in? I’m in Collin County & my venue can only be at 50% capacity. I’m sorry I don’t know about the dancing part. I wish you all the very best!!

Here are the guidelines I found for Texas! Apparently there is a ban on gatherings over 10 people, but weddings are an exception? Strange, but hope it works out for you! These are currently the minimum protocols for wedding guests and venues.
