Covid-19 sucks

Kristen, on March 25, 2020 at 7:32 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9
We are supposed to be getting married May 1 and most likely it will have to be rescheduled , but we are waiting to see what happens in April . We have no idea when it would be good to reschedule yet. I hate the unknown. It just makes me sad.

Honestly, it does. I spent a year and a half planning only to have this dropped on me 6 weeks before my wedding. People think its an easy decision just postpone. It is frustrating listening to people who don't understand what its like going through this. We just want our wedding 😥

Hang in there and pray that things get better soon. All we can do is wait and see!

I would start looking around now for a new date and make sure your venue does are available. While it might all work out it’s not looking very good right now. Sorry you are having to deal with all of this in a time which should be so exciting for you.

Thanks Cyndy- that is probably what we will be doing. We might even just get married on May 1st legally then have the church service and party later, whenever the church and reception hall are available. Looking at all options.

Thank you! I'm feeling the same way! I'm so sick of everyone saying "oh well it's for your safety", or "you're not the only person going through this right now". I know that's true but everyone saying this had weddings that came off perfectly and they don't understand. I just want someone to tell me it sucks and I'm allowed to be angry and upset.

We postponed from April 25 to July 11, but I'm still feeling uncertain about July 11. Unfortunately there were very few dates left at our venue and we're not waiting until next year. We will definitely be getting married July 11 just with however many people we're allowed to have there. A week after making this decision I'm still not okay. It is just such a disappointment after a year of excitement and anticipation.

Exactly, we spent a year and a half planning and dreaming. Hoping for this one day and it's gone in an instant.

Coordinating vendors and finding a new date, resending invitations and RSVPs. This isn't a birthday party, its our wedding. We only wanted to do it once.
The people that says it for our safety, are the worst. I'm stupid, I get it but doesn't make it any better.
