Covid-19 and Rain- Feeling defeated

My wedding is next weekend March 21st in CA and we have been hit with bad news after bad news. First the coronavirus has caused about 10 people to cancel after we've paid everything and who knows how many more in the coming days. Then we finally come to terms that is it what it is and you try to be positive and then BAM! Rain is on the forecast for your wedding day. It has been super hot and dry in Jan and Feb here in CA that we didn't even worry about it. Yes there is always a risk because you can't control weather but it just sucks. I feel so defeated and struggling to be excited for our wedding at all. Our ceremony and reception are both outdoors and our coordinator has contacted us for a Plan B. I just don't even know how to feel at this point. All I want to do is cry... I understand this is about me and my fiance and our marriage. I am trying to put my focus on that but I am really struggling to not be sad.

I hear ya! Mine is in two days and my brother told me last night that he, my sister in law and my niece and nephew can’t come because of the Coronavirus. It just won’t be the same without them there. We are also still deciding if we are going to cancel our honeymoon.

I was pretty bummed last night and crying from the stress. But I have to remind myself that I will still be surrounded by those who love me!
As for your weather, it’s still a week away, a lot can change!

I’m so sorry to hear. As for the weather you know it might not actually be bad. I live in SoCal and yes it says the next two weeks will rain but it’s been so light and when it does rain it’s very little and short and is bright the rest of the day. So just hear what your vendors have to say about rain plans.
