Covering the cleavage

Lakers, on April 24, 2017 at 11:25 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20

I posted a while back on to much cleavage. I did decide to fill in the cleavage area a bit.

The lace is coming in next week!!!!

My question is filling in the cleavage area, should I remove the illusion neck line?

Thank you for any advice

I don't think you need both.

I am a fan of the dress as it is but I do understand the need to govern your girls!

Send us pictures if what I would look like if you kept both.... that would help

I'm not sure what you mean by removing the illusion neckline. Are you still keeping the Vshape but covering the deep V with lace?

@coffee if you look close enough, there is nude mesh that covers the entire chest, to keep the lace in place and not risk a wardrobe malfunction because the dress won't slip. She's asking if she should remove the mesh

How much lace are you planning to put on the deep v? I love it as it...but am just busty enough this could be a concern-so i get it...I just would hate to see the dress lose it's overall effect. I think if you are only adding a tiny bit of lace, I'd keep the illusion neck. But if you are fully covering the cleavage--no need for the extra mesh.

By the way..The back of that dress---OMG!! Smiley smile

Love the dress! I would ask your seamstress this question. I don't know how everything's put together, but check to see if removing the illusion from the front would affect the illusion in the back or if removing it would mess with the structure of the top part in the front, or if they could just sew the fabric with the illusion in place. Do you like the illusion part, or are you fine with it either way?

I've worked at a bridal boutique for several years and MIL is a seamstress and Aunt in Law is a bridal designer - I promise you, any decent seamstress will warn you against removing the mesh. If you had an open back, it wouldn't be necessary, but since your back has an illusion, you need the illusion in the front. The second you take that away, it loses some of its structural integrity. The gown is absolutely stunning and I don't want you to be even more wary of the girls, which would probably be the case if you removed the illusion.

Personally, I would put on a necklace that ended above the clevage and it would draw the eye up, not to focus on the deep clevage. I like the dress and feel the clevage is part of what makes the dress.

I'd remove the neckline unless you need it for the back, lime PPs said. Your dress is gorgeous!

I would cover up the V, but leave the illusion mesh.

That dress is absolutely beautiful. I understand wanting to make sure you're covered. I think this would be best answered by a seamstress as you'll want to know what that would change about the fit of the dress of you removed it.
