I feel so conflicted because part of me wants to plan everything now but we have SO. MUCH. TIME. You're right though, it's going to fly by! Are there certain things that you're prioritizing planning sooner rather than later?

Ive been planning a bunch, its kinda annoying the FH but I feel its best to just get it done now. We have our venue, caterer, picked a theme, guest list written up and addresses, I have my dress, we found a photographer, I know where I'm getting my cake from. Now its just kinda little details here and there coming up. I'm ordering my save the dates and invites off vista print, but I haven't ordered them yet. Making sure everyone is on the guest list before I order those. (you never know what friends you'll make from now until your wedding that you would like to invite)

Just got engaged and planning for 10/19/2019! I'm also starting to feel like I have so much time, but then again I want to save and be prepared as much as I can lol. I've also been with my fiancé for 7 years and had been kinda planning before the ring lol. But soo excited to be part of this whole wedding/bride forum to bounce ideas and get advice!!

I'm getting married Sept 2019 & I totally feel you! I'm out of state though so I feel I need the extra time. I also need to save, A LOT LOL. You can never be too prepared right?

I was originally planning on getting married on this date but my venue that I booked someone had already booked my wedding date, so I had to move my date to October 12, 2019 instead a day after my birthday

We just settled on Oct 5, 2019! I feel super impatient -- like I'd rather plan everything ASAP and get married in Spring instead. Smiley laugh But I think my fiance wants the extra time, and we plan to get a dog, move, and find new jobs in the next 6 months, so maybe that extra time is smart.

Wow, its crazy how time flies... less than 10 months left! I'm going wedding dress shopping in TWO WEEKS.

We have the following booked: venue, caterer, DJ, photographer, coordinator, and 1 hotel block.

Now I feel like all the small details are coming, which I am dreadinggggg. I'm not big on decor so I'm not super stoked on that. I'm trying to figure out the shuttle details which is freaking me out a little bit because how do you calculate how many people will actually take it?

I feel like there is still so much time but not enough time lol. Hope the rest of your planning is going well!!!

My advice, plan plan plan, you will probably change your mind a million times so planning early gives you that option, you don’t want to regret a dicision because you made it to quickly! Just be sure of your decision before you put deposits down! You can’t get those back

My wedding was planned for August but the Venue we wanted is only available for October 5th so we moved and I am glad we did cuz it just feels like we don't have enough time for everything. We both manage our own business which we basically work 12 hrs everyday and wedding planning sometimes is so hard to squeeze in our schedule. I have all vendors books and finished and sent out my save the date. I just need to finish my formal invitation now and send it out. I am also doing all our signs and favors. I know it sounds stressful me doing everything but to be honest doing all of it is my vacation from work and I feel like I am in my own world alone and so peaceful when I do those things. Call me crazy but I am a little OCD so instead of complaining then I would rather do it myself.
