I love the idea! I’m doing a donut bar but was nervous about the “no cake” situation. But I really don’t want to spend the money on
one. Feels like a waste because so many people don’t eat cake now.

Right! we might get a small cake just for us to cut, but I would hate to see cake go to waste! We are also thinking of having churros !

Hello date twins!!! Our wedding will be at a gold course and country club, ceremony and reception, food is included in venue which makes it so much easier. We have our date, venue, photographer, hair and make up and wedding party so far. Looking for dj’s. Fiancés sister makes cakes so that’s taken care of and trying to decide on centerpieces. Going with a wine and rose gold color scheme. What have you all decided on as far as colors and decor??

Hey date twins! This is so amazing! I am getting excited. However I feel like I'm going nuts lol. When is a good time to send the save the date and the wedding invitations?

I plan on sending my save the dates early February and my invites mid to late August. We have a lot of out of town guests, so I want to give them plenty of time to plan!

That's not bad most of our family is local. I was thinking about sending out the save the dates in April and then the wedding invitations the in August.

I sent mine February 1st. We have a lot of out of town guests so I was told 9mos out would be best. Invites will go out in July with deadline of 9/15/2020 for RSVP

Where are we date twins with planning? Any successes? Any headaches? I feel like I'm way ahead of the game atm.

I was feeling like I was ahead of the game but within the last couple weeks for some reason I am just feeling so dang overwhelmed. I'm not really sure why now all of sudden I think its just because we are past the 9 month mark and now things are getting real!

    BUT!
I have the venue, catering, dj, photographer, and beautician already booked. Dress picked out and paid for, bakery picked, florist and flowers already designed, guest list done and save the dates ready to be mailed.... so i feel like that's something lol. But still feel like i'm behind. What are your successes??

Well I felt successful..... You're way ahead of me.... Way to Go!!!

    Done:

-Venue and Date picked and reserved

    -photographers reserved

    -Save the dates sent

-dress acquired and first fitting done (this I was really proud about)

-shower date set (FMIL is working on the second) and bach weekend dates set

-bridesmaid dresses picked (one girl got one)

-hotel for out of town set (contract to be signed Friday).

And cool things, like my centerpieces, are done and escort favor/holders are acquired

What's left is just a bunch of finalizing and reserving and PAY PAY PAY.

oh and I have no idea what our honeymoon is going to be.

Dang girl!!!!!! 😮 You are not behind me, if anything you are ahead of me lol! Seriously that’s incredible! You already have your first fitting done?? That’s awesome! I still haven’t locked down a seamstress yet.. and I haven’t even talked about Bach weekends yet 🙈 ... or centerpieces.. seriously decor is the scurge of my existence right now! How are you doing yours ? I wanted to do one thing and thought I was set on it and then decided I didn’t like it, and I have a showcase type thing at my venue to see different place settings and centerpieces and what not and to view everything they offer but it’s not until April, and so I’m basically stuck til then... which is SO frustrating! But I’m trying to remain calm lol ... and not stress too much, I mean some but not too much (; and I’m just trying not to think about the pay pay PAY part, that’s the worst part 😂

But you are doing awesome keep it up!!! ♥️
