Couples getting married on November 16, 2024

I’m getting married on November 16th, 2024!! I’m already stressing out over the planning portion and just about everything else. I have our colors picked out which are baby blue, grey, white and burnt orange and our cake decorator has been chosen.
We haven’t found a venue yet that around our budget. We’re looking in the St.Louis, Mo area and or maybe spread out towards the Illinois region. If anyone in those areas has any input or ideas or even advice on venues on wedding planning I’m all for them. Thank you in advance!

The first steps we took in planning were creating a tentative guest list (for us this included having both sets of parents list their requested invitees), and then a budget. From there we started looking at venues that would fit with our budget. In the area we live, a lot of venues are "all in one" where they provide catering, alcohol, tables, chairs, place settings, table cloths etc, so we were able to get a good idea of the price per head. (i'm from the midwest and we considered getting married there where it would have been a lot cheaper BUT harder to calculate a price per head early on bc everything would be booked separately)....
Once we booked a venue with our official date, we prioritized photography, videography and cake as our next big things to book. We planned over the course of about 18 months, so we've had a lot of times where we weren't doing anything wedding related. Or where I'd order a pack of candles and nothing else wedding related that week.

I know this might be a little bit away but Hermann Weddings MO is a beautiful place. I just went to a wedding there last month. The whole area is amazing.

Here, I have a few pictures of the the outdoor ceremony and reception site. The decor was done by the bride’s mother. Everything else was all in house if I recall correctly

This time around I hired a wedding planner. I dont want the stress and headache of doing everything. I prefer to stress out the wedding planner for our wedding. For our wedding which is november 16th 2024 we are having taco as our food of choice. Reason being we both love tacos and chichen wings. And also its much cheapre and before thanksgiving. Plus cheaper than heavy foods.
