We just got engaged on 12/1 and we haven’t got much done at all. Christmas really got in the way. We’re doing a pretty small wedding, less than 20 people, so we’re having a hard time choosing a venue.

    Hey Brooke~

I am also getting married on November 1, 2020. We are just getting started planning. We have our venue, our dj and our wedding party but still working on all the rest. I am going with navy blue and burgandy. We are getting married at 4 so hopefully it will hit just right for the sunset to begin.

Congratulations on your engagement and wedding!

I've been engaged for years l. We took a break planning to buy a house! I have the dress, venue, catering, photographer, wedding party, and some decor to go with our navy and orange theme. I've been so frantic, I feel like there is still so much to do!

Wow...you've done a lot. I just got engaged January 16th! My mind is definitely spinning trying to figure out this planning stuff. This is my second wedding but my first was much smaller and easier.

Is anyone getting pushback from family about the wedding being Halloween weekend? My sister is upset her kids will miss trick or treating with friends.

Really? Trick or treat is every year. How many times are you getting married? I guess I would use tough love and say that if her kids would rather go get free candy, they don't have to come for free dinner and cake. Sorry.

Haha yup. It just made me worried that other people with kids won’t come since a lot of them have to get there the day before.

I wouldn't worry. Weddings are the sort of thing people look forward to over crapy costumes and cold weather! Lol

Since everyone here is in the same boat...
AC Moore is closing all its stores. So if you're doing any DIY, they've got 50%+ off most items right now.

Is anyone worried that we'll have to cancel our date because of Covid-19 or is it just me? Seems far out but you never know. Has anyone talked to their vendors about their options?

Yes, but I think I’ll wait until
The summer to make a decision to postpone.

Our venue told us they will not be allowing us to postpone our wedding. We have international guests flying in from Europe and almost all of our guests will be traveling from other states. We are leaning towards cancelling because it seems ridiculous to pay so much for a wedding That few people could attend.
