I also work at a hospital Smiley smile It gets really old, really fast, to hear people talking about it so much. But with all the recent developments, I refuse to give up hope this early of it as a possibility. And because our venues are both super lowkey, there isn't a risk at loss in waiting longer to decide. We're waiting for mid-late April to make the decision. It's just hard to plan right now and be excited....

Oh goodness, so you absolutely know what I’m feeling as well
I spoke to our venue and they sounded so optimistic, they said “wait a couple weeks, if it needs to be changed they will work with us” so that was reassuring.
I feel absolutely the same way, I wish I could be excited and count down but let’s hope by April we can start counting down I feel like In the next few weeks things will slowly start to reopen and we can start to slowly return to normal but Our church Our venueOur DJOur photographer Are all understanding and will to change if needed.

Oh my goodness, I used to have a countdown on my home screen of my phone because I was so excited, but I deleted it because now I'm almost dreading how fast time is passing by without the virus news seeing any improvement. It doesn't help that my whole family a week ago thought I was insane for considering postponing, but now they're all saying it might be the right thing to do. AHHH. It's definitely hard to wait this thing out. I'm just grateful for the time I have with my FH and I know that one way or another we WILL get married. And I'm trying to see the bright side of if we have to move it. More time for small details and maybe more decorations? Crossing my fingers it doesn't come to that though

    Awwwww
I know it sucks that we aren’t able to be fully in it lol
But let’s hope by April you can get that “count down” clock back on your phone I have also tried looking at the positive And thought if the wedding date has to change, it may be a good thing (I can shed some pounds) lol

As of right now, we are continuing to plan as normal! Hoping for the best since the date is outside of the 8 week CDC recommendation for gatherings of less than 50 people. Things change so fast that we’re not making any decisions on postponing any time soon.
But in the back of our minds, we are coming up with a plan B just in case!

Yes I completely agree with you.

we just picked another date, in case we need to change.

someone told us not to wait to long, because then all the May weddings will start to reschedule an may take the summer/fall dates pushing us to the winter.

The CDC is a minute by minute change its so hard to keep up with them. At first it was 500 people, then 300, then 100, now its 50....

Scary but its good you guys aren't rushing!!!

Hi date twins! I’m starting the process of postponing our wedding as 85% our our 200 guests are from out of town. Most of my vendors are being very understanding and flexible during this time. However, my venue is not. The owner offered me a Saturday in mid August, when the average temperature here is 96F and our wedding is outdoors. She also said we won’t receive any of our money, we are paid in full, back if we choose to cancel outright in order to find a later date at another venue. Are any of you having issues like this? How are those of you who are postponing handling it? Thanks in advance for your thoughts and sharing your experiences.

Hey all!! We are also 100% waiting a few more weeks (3?) before making any decisions one way or another. We're continuing to plan as if nothing is changing so that we're ready should the date be fine! Things change so quickly that I would be devastated if we were to make a rash decision right now only for these regulations to be lifted in 7 weeks. I also know that my venue doesn't have any dates that work for us later in the year (they only have either winter or weeknights, which we're not interested in) so I know we won't be missing out on a good date if we delay our decision. My gut is telling me good things right now, stay positive every one!!

I’m so happy to hear someone say this
The last few days have been hellWe were getting married on the perfect weekend “memorial day” when summer is just around the corner And you’re right I don’t want to lose the day We were able to secure another date with our church and vendors which is July 25thBut I have a feeling that within 2-3 weeks things will changesMy instincts keep telling me everything will be fine.We will let our guests know in 2-3 weeks if we are going with our original wedding date or July 25th

We used the date because it was the day we first kissed and thought what better way to start as husband and wife than on that day. (we only remember because we hosted a car show that day)

Hey y’all! We pricked this date because it’s the first date after our anniversary (May 21st). I’m a little nervous. My venue said as of now we’re still a go. I’m hoping everything works out. Sending love to you all. I attached my wedding dress. From concept to reality. Couples getting married on May 23, 2020 1

How is everyone feeling? Is anyone else out there still holding on? We secured a backup date (Sunday, September 6th of Labor Day Weekend) and are waiting until May 1 to make the call--unless it becomes abundantly clear before then that things will still be shuttered and we need to move on to Plan B. As of now (which could change even as I type this! Haha), our venue plans to start holding weddings and events again on May 8th, and all of our vendors have said they're still a "go" if the quarantine isn't extended past April 30th. Just trying to keep it together while we wait and see...

We are holding up okay, we had to change our date until next year (we want to keep our date because that is when we got together). We had a venue but we are now looking for a less expensive venue to hold the wedding. I don't know if you live in Texas Brittnee but I did hear that the SIP (shelter in place) has been extended till May, I believe. I hope everyone is holding on and staying safe and healthy. Have a good day ladies!

We’re still getting married, but it’s now with our immediate family only and we’ve postponed the big wedding until November. I’m just praying that a “second wave” doesn’t come about in the fall and ruining our already rescheduled plan.

Did everyone get to have their special day? A lot of hard work, sweat, and tears went into our diy wedding on Saturday, but it was beautiful and worth every bit of stress. I can’t wait to share other pictures, but for now, he’s the only one I have.❤️
