Couples getting married on March 5, 2021

Our wedding is 4/22/2021 and I just got my dress! Jumped the gun but I couldn’t be happier. We booked our venue, photographer, caterer, planner, and baker!

Congratulations, you should start dress shopping asap, time goes by so quickly, and you'll probably want to try on many dresses from different shops, and depending where you go it can take 6 or 7 months to actually get the dress if you require many alterations, some shops don't do the alterations in house, which means a longer waiting time, remember to ask them when you find that perfect dress, I'm not until Feb. 14 2021 and I started trying on dresses 6 months ago, probably tried on 30 dresses, it's not an easy decision so give yourself plenty of time so you won't stress about it, I don't have a picture of my dream dress, but it you want to see it, it's a Stella York # 6979 from the 2019 collection, good luck finding your PERFECT DRESS!!!!!!!

Olivia, thank you for complimenting my dress, I LOVE IT! did you check the Stella York collection? You should be able to find that style with straps, or Casablanca, I loved their collection as well, also Essence of Australia, are you getting a second dress to change into? if you are, check jjshouse.com, they have tons of dresses to choose from and most are available in about 35 colors, I'm getting my bridesmaids dresses from them, I've purchased 3 evening dresses from them previously, and I highly recommend them.

Olivia, the dress I'm getting for my bridesmaids from jjshouse is dress 105912 if you care to see it, I'm putting them in the lilac, and I'm wearing lavender for my second dress.

View Quoted Comment Hi Olivia, I did get my Stella York online, but you should check with your local bridal shops to see if they have Stella York as one of the designers that they use, if not you can buy online and have it altered with a seamstress of your choice, I love jjshouse, most of the dresses are made to order, so it takes a few weeks from when you order. did you see the dress I picked for my bridesmaids, what do you think? PLEASE look at the compete Stella York collection as well as the Casablanca line, I think they're gorgeous, I don't know your budget for a dress, so I apologize if I'm being to pushy about Stella York and Casablanca, I just think the dress is something we dream about as young girls, and should be one of the first things we take care of, less stress when you know your DREAM DRESS is secured.

HI Im also getting married 3/5/21. So far I have my Dj,Photographer,videographer & venue! I plan on waiting until may to go dress shopping. I have my save the dates but will not be sending them until end of next month. I started ordering my bridesmaids items for the proposal although most of them already know.

I went dress shopping for the first time last weekend. They told me it takes 8 months to make a dress and a couple of months for monthly check ins and alterations. I asked the dress boutique when should I try to make a decision and she said in the next 2 months. Since a brand new dress will be made for me. I go dress shopping again on the 8th of February. I have 2 contenders, but still looking. We have booked our venue, hired our photographer and videographer, and hired our DJ. We are still searching for a caterer. We take our engagement photos in March and I will order save the dates shortly after and send those out. What state are you in?

Wow! that is definitely a long time I may need to start dress shopping sooner than I anticipated because I do want a custom made dress. The venue location we chose requires catering through them which makes it super expensive lol! I am in GA how about you?

View Quoted Comment Oh yes any venue we looked at that had their own catering was way too expensive. I am glad we found one that allows us to bring in our own caterer and alcohol. That alone is saving us lots of money. I am in Mesa, Arizona.


I was worried I was too early for dress shopping, but 8 months is a long time to make a dress. Then to keep in mind the last few months of alterations. If I make my decision at the end of February that puts me at November for my dress to be done and taking the last few months for month to month check ins for alterations. From what I’ve heard I would start looking now. I’ve never tried on dresses before . All I’ve had were online pictures. I went in with visions of one and quickly found out what I love and don’t love. It wouldn’t hurt to start looking now.

Hi there! My amazing man and I are tying the knot on the same date! We just started planning so we r giving the deposit this Sunday for the place and are missing the music, photographer, cake and entertainment (flame thrower, belly dancer...). All else is done. Dress isn't ordered, I am awaiting swatches to decide on color.... Congrats!!!

Hello! Another 3/5/21 bride here! Only missing the call and make up. Dress arrived last week and we are finishing our kids attire and the grooms vest (which is coming from a small company that is really backed up in Europe) is the past thing we r waiting for I am shopping for the bridal accessories and starting to design the veil before I sew it. Hopefully it comes out as it is in my head. Most of this wedding is DiY so it's happening slowly but we will get there! Congrats!
