6/19/22 Date twins or anyone with insight...

Is anyone concerned about our wedding date being ON fathers day?! I chose the date because it worked for OUR schedule. I didn’t even realize until a vendor I was talking to brought it up. It’s my Brother in laws first Father’s Day and now I’m panicking they will be upset. Thoughts? Im freaking out now.

If you’re close with your brother maybe mention it. Perhaps it won’t a huge deal to him? If it’s a huge set back then maybe you see if the place you’re booked at will be flexible with scheduling.

Just talk to them about it. Father's Day is special but so is your wedding. Is this something you feel like you should change your entire wedding around?

No I feel like this is what worked for us and our schedules. We get one day for this. Father’s Day is every year. Plus I plan on doing something special for the dads during the wedding. I was thinking we could celebrate maybe the day before?

I wouldn't worry about it at all. It's a rotating holiday so it's a different day every year. No biggie IMO.

If you're doing something special for dads during the wedding then I'd keep your date and continue with planning. I think its very sweet and considerate of you to do that.

I went through the same stress, but no fathers I have asked care. I want to do something at the ceremony to thank them for sharing their special day, but I have no clue what to do yet.
