Due to COVID, we rescheduled our July 31, 2020 wedding to July 29, 2022! Anyone else planning two years out?

We got engaged on 3/17/19 and are getting married on 3/17/21. The time has gone by so fast!

Our original engagement was going to be 21-months. But since postponing a year, it’s now a 33-month engagement 😂

Sorry you had to postpone! And wow, that's a long engagement! We're right around the same timing (thanks to COVID). Our original engagement was supposed to be 1 year, and will now be 3 years 😂

It’s a ridiculous engagement. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Even 21 months was too long. We got engaged on 1/11/19, but we wanted 10/10/20 as the date. So we we waited!! But looking back, I wish I had selected our 2nd choice date instead (Leap Year- 2/29/20). Then no postponing would have been necessary and no COVID interruptions. Ugh! 😫

I hear you on that! 2 years would have about been my max, but now we're doing 3 years. At least I know I'll feel 1,000% ready for my wedding by the time it finally gets here lol! We picked our original date because it was exactly halfway between our birthdays, and it was on a Friday (we were specifically searching for a Friday wedding date).

Leap Year would have been a great choice for a wedding date too!! I'm sure that your new date will be special, and now all COVID brides will have a great story to tell about wedding planning. Congratulations to you! Hoping the next year goes by quickly!

Yep! That’s how I see it too… All the planning is done so I’m completely ready for the wedding…and any postponed date that a covid couple selects is automatically special and meaningful.

    Best wishes!!

Congratulations!! Definitely smart to wait 2 years at this point, I know a lot of venues and vendors have extremely limited availability for 2021 thanks to COVID. Plus, you get to enjoy being engaged for a little longer than usual! Happy wedding planning!!
