Couples getting married on July 23, 2023

Depends on what you're wanting out of the experience. We decided to do a destination because:

1. Cheaper

2. More fun for us and our close friends: we all love to travel

3. Number of attendees was not important to us

4. The most important thing to us was having a 4-5 day "Wedding" experience with our nearest and dearest.

But some cons we didn't think about:

1. It's in Mexico, so we have very little control / haven't seen the venue in person. We won't be meeting any of our vendors until 4 days before the wedding. A bit stressful

2. You start getting excited because it's cheaper and spend more money. lol

3. Be prepared to help pay for, or accept that they wont be there for some of your guests. I have 1 very, very close friend who is not good with money. I ended up helping pay for his trip because his attendance meant the world to me and I knew he couldn't do it on his own.

I am September 23, 2023 and wondering WHY I didn't fight for a destination wedding. I am happy and this is going to be beautiful and amazing but damn, it is A LOT.

My FSIL used the planner for her Mexico wedding, and so did 6 of her friends :o so, it was an easy choice for me. Also, she's free. Doesn't get better than that!

I'm glad we went outside of the US, we avoided the extreme wedding industry prices and I feel like for what we are paying, we are getting an incredible experience. If we had done it within the US with the same quality, I feel like we would be 10k+ over what were paying now!

We picked MX because it's the cheapest to travel to for our guests, honestly. I mean, we also love it but it was a bonus that it's cheaper

Do what your heart feels right don't overthink. Focus on what you want to do with your Future husband. Remember its your Big Day not anyone's else.
