Wow, looking at everyone else I thought I was ok but I guess I'm behind. We have our venue included with DJ and photographer. Looking now for the cater, and we are doing our favors and centerpieces. It's been stressful but fun. I'm really excited
Deposit on photographer/videographer, booked ceremony site with officiant, deposit on venue which supplies food etc, wedding dress and my shoes bought, both wedding bands bought, invitations bought.
Still have to do more research on cake, florists (real vs fake), decor, pick between 2 DJs, get FH's attire, wedding party attire, hair/makeup, honeymoon planning, dress alterations, and send out invites. I hope I'm not missing more stuff lol
I applaud you! I was in nursing school when I got engaged July 2016 in an accelerated program and had to hold off until now due to finishing school in 2017, finding a new job, moving etc lol. It feels good to be finally in the thick of wedding planning and getting everything sorted out.
Since last updated, we've booked our honeymoon and are working on the details during our 12 days in the UK! Have our guestbook designed (we're putting our engagement photos in a book) and will hopefully be ordering on Friday as long as the website has the sale I'm anticipating. Same goes for invitations; they're designed and ready to be purchased later this week when Vistaprint does their Black Friday sale. May be looking for some other gift items so as to take advantage of the sales that will be happening. Anyone else planning on purchasing things for their wedding this weekend?
Hello date twin!! I'm getting ready to order my save the dates and send them out. We are finalizing guest list and making final decisions on who is going to be in our wedding party. I think I've found my dress and veil.
This sounds cheesy but I wanted something fun incorporated in the wedding. Due to the date 7-11, has anyone thought about slushees at wedding besides me? I’m just not sure how to add to tastefully to the reception
Ladies and gents! We’re now officially under the 6 month mark! How’s everyone feeling? We just had our cake tasting yesterday and are now officially done with hiring vendors! Time to get down to the nitty gritty details!
Dress ordered, bridesmaid dresses purchased; venue, florist, DJ, and photographer booked. I sent out my save the date. I haven't decided who will do the cake yet. Also, I am doing lanterns for the centerpiece with flowers around them, the florist is going to prepare the centerpieces but I bought the lanterns and candles from Michaels on sale! I purchases the invitation from Hobby Lobby on sale I just have to have them printed. Oh and I have to finish paying for everything!!! LOL!!!
I am doing real. Silk flowers can be just as expensive. Its my 2nd marriage. I didn't have wedding the first time around. My children are all grown and the last one just finish college, so they can now help me pay for this wedding, LOL!!

It’s all planned! Just working on finishing up payments at this point. We have a registry event at Crate&Barrel this Sunday, so that’ll be fun. What are you working on?
Heyy date twins!! How are you girls doing? I thought I was on track, but after reading how you almost have all planned, I guess I'm behind on everything.
I am having huge issues! We are having about 50 people for a farm/barn outdoor wedding. It’s actually on an Alpaca Farm. 😊 But I don’t want to pay to feed all these people! Is there an easier way?

An alpaca farm sounds so fun! To answer your question, the only way to get around feeding a full meal to your guests is to hold your wedding at a non-meal time. You would still need to provide refreshments, cake and punch is fine, but if you’re having your wedding during a meal time, you need to feed your guests. Try looking at local Italian, bbq, or Mexican restaurants that cater; these are typically the most cost friendly types of food.
