Couples getting married on December 30, 2020

Is it too soon to start shopping for a dress? I think my dress should be the main thing and where I get my theme and style for my wedding?

I personally think it's a little early, mostly because you want to make sure your tastes don't change, and you're as close in size as possible to when you get married. I wasn't worried about losing or gaining weight, but I didn't want a dress to sit in my closet for a long time and to potentially second guess my choices. I ended up going shopping about 10 months before my wedding, and got my dress just a few months after. That being said, if you're looking at getting a custom dress made, you might want the extra time. Another thing to consider is sales. The boutique I got my dress from runs an annual White Friday sale on black Friday where you can get some really great deals. If you can wait until then, you might be able to take advantage of better prices.

I personally started looking before I even found the love of my life, so is it ever really too early?? HaHa! I say do your research, look around and give yourself as much time as you need. Pinterest is great. Save everything! If you want to go start trying on dresses to see what looks great on you and what you prefer, do it! That way when it does come time to go shopping to actually purchase your dream dress, you have a game plan in your head and you already know what you are looking for.

I don't think it hurts to start looking! Find out what styles you like and which ones you don't. That way you'll be able to make the best dress decision for you!

Hey Lizette!! Congratulations on your engagement!

Have you thought about your wedding style or color scheme at all yet? You can definitely check out Pinterest for some wedding inspiration and ideas about decor and theme.

I also think that your venue will inform your wedding style, have you started looking into venues that you would love to hold your wedding in?

Of course, your wedding gown should fit the style of your wedding but there is no need to limit yourself to finding your dress before any other wedding plans.

Have you looked into some dress styles and thought about what you would love to wear on your wedding day?

We already got our colors we are going with black grey blush and rose gold, we wanted an outside theme but because of our area where we live we have to get a venue inside, the place we have been looking into are very modern and elegant. I really want and a-line dress with tulle but I want some bling to it. I just feel like if I get a dress that looks too country or something it wont go with my venue.

Yea exactly what I was thinking, I used to love mermaid style but I tried on a dress for a quinceanera one time and hated the fit so I know for sure I cant have a style like that.

Your wedding colors sounds beautiful! Really classic and elegant!

It's great that you have started thinking about dress styles already! You can also keep in mind that you can add bling to a dress if you love the fit but you feel like it isn't sparkly enough for you!
