That was my original date! we were going to do a fall wedding but decided to go for December when everyone will be home from college and the holidays already. Congrats to you too!

I know we are two years away but I can bet anything that we will be down to the single digit count down before you know it.

I am hoping to confirm and book my venue by Jan/Feb. I’m in Florida how about you?
Since our date is so close to Christmas are you having a Christmas theme?
The other day someone on another discussion asked if I thought about travel pricing and how everything will be more expensive for out of town guests. What’s your thoughts on that?

Our wedding is April 2021 and we feel like its a decade away!! I feel this pain haha but it has gone by pretty fast so far. We have booked ALOT though so it’s kind of nice to enjoy the engagement and not be stressed

I’m going for a rustic glam theme since our wedding will be at a really nice barn type venue. I live in Houston and the venue is in college station so our guest won’t have to travel tooooo far. We plan on booking around the same time!

View Quoted Comment Oh Gosh! This is exciting we have very similar design ideas. Your colors sound FABULOUS! We are also not having a Christmas wedding but will have Christmas trees in the backdrop. We are doing rustic as well, I have found a few barns and one Southern Style House venue that has a rustic romantic feel. They allow you to stay the night before and the night of, so we have to make a decision already lol. Our colors are green (army green) white and black.

However, I'm not TOO excited about it being 2 years away. We had a date set and a venue paid for for October 12th of last year (2019) But life happened and we are having to start from scratch.
I'm eyeballing some venues right now and we are embracing the "warm winter" vibe but not necessarily Christmas. Christmas is BY FAR my FAVORITE time of year so I don't want to mix my wedding memories with Christmas memories. He has been trying to convince me to get married ON Christmas since it is a Saturday as well. I can't. Haha!

YES same! I absolutely love Christmas but with having a wedding so close I definitely want to differentiate between the two...even though im having a massive pre-lit tree warm winter is the exact theme im going for as well! Have you guys thought about honeymoons yet?

My date was originally 02/13/21, however due to COVID and financial reasons, we have recently decided to postpone and get married on 12/18/21! I'm so excited to have a Christmas wedding and can't wait to decorate!
