Couples getting married on August 24, 2019

Hi date twin!!! We are also getting married outside and I’m worried About the weather. I visited our venue today (a local state park near our lake), and it was PERFECT! 80, slight breeze, super comfortable! I’m hoping and crossing fingers that our day is identical!! Other than that it’s just logistical stuff I have left, who’s going to get where, when and how they’re going to get there, finalizing my timeline, etc. but overall I feel pretty good about where we are at!

Hi date twin!

We're in NYC, so it's likely to be sweltering, or pretending to be autumn. Our venue is on the river with huge windows that can be opened like garage doors, so we're safe whatever the weather does.

I do feel like I'm being held together by stress and willpower at the moment.

We're chasing down RSVPs, my final fitting is Sunday, we've got to finish our centerpieces, write our vows, make up the seating chart, pay the final bills... all the little details. And I've just worked several dinner shifts in a row.... I just hurt all over. (...Heck, even my cycle is out of whack and just came early! ...NOT YAY.)

I need TIME and money and I'm a restaurant worker so those two things are mutually exclusive!

It went great! Dress is now in the possession of my FILs, as it was ready to go!

My family is being terrible, though, so that kind of tempers things right now.

Our date isn’t August 24th but our Wedding date is August 10th

View Quoted Comment It’s gorgeous AND cheap! It’s been a lot of extra work because it’s 100% DIY EVERYTHING. But I know it will be worth it!! This is the most recent photo I have from November so it’s grey but right now everything’s green and beautifully filled out!! And thanks! Me too!! I am so stuck on going back and forth between first look or NO first look. I’m so torn!!!!

First Look LocationCeremony Spot

This is where my fiancé and I are getting married! it's someone's house that we know so its all DIY also. But I am so excited! We are having our first look by the pond and getting married in front of the door. I decided on a first look just for timeline purposes. I don't want to be away from all my guests during most of the cocktail hour and dinner.

We are having an early ceremony, so we wouldn’t have much time between the first look and the ceremony.. it literally would just to be able to see him! But now I’m thinking it would be fun to get the full effect as I’m walking down the aisle and we see each other for the first time!

I get married on the 24th too! Any little details everyone remembered that I may have forgotten?! It’s getting so close! Trying to pick music for the ceremony and it’s really hard to imagine what all of it will be like!

Anyone else find it easy to compare their weddings that you’ve gone to/seen pictures of? As it gets closer, I find myself doubting choices I’ve made and feeling anxious that we made the wrong decisions or it won’t feel like “us”.

I hope everyone is getting excited that the day is so close! ❤️ It looks like you all have some beautiful locations picked out and are doing a great job of making sure it is all coming together. It’s definitely hard to think of all the little details to make sure everything is in place for the big day. I recently was panicking that I wouldn’t get my marriage license in time or be able to deliver it to the priest at my church before the wedding, but it seems to be working out now. And Casey, I know what you mean! I’ve been looking at pictures and whatnot lately of friends who have gotten married in the last few months and comparing things. I think that’s probably normal though. Just have to trust that you’ve picked everything just right for your wedding 😊 It isn’t anyone else’s, just yours, and I think you’ll be happy when you see it all come together. I’ve had to remind myself of that every time I start comparing different aspects of other weddings haha

This probably doesn't apply to you but I'll put it out into the universe anyways. If you are doing a selfie station with selfie sticks... don't forget dongles for those who have no headphone jack... also I totally didn't think about how I was going to decorate the food tables until like yesterday

Pinterest is something I have learned I need to stay away from this late in the game. It makes me doubt everything and think about changing the whole style of the wedding 2 weeks before my wedding lol I feel you girl. But trust what you've decided.
