Hello date twins!!! Im excited about getting married and I cant wait for the day to get here. I haven't really done much yet but I have booked our venue. Im trying to decide on our save the dates and invitations. I dont want to spend a arm and a leg on them though I want to spend money on other important things. How far have you guys got with wedding planning?

At first it was very difficult to change our date. Our original date was May 23rd and we contacted the venue back in mid March to ask about changing the date. At that time, they were only allowing brides who were getting married from March-April 30th the option to change their date. After a big runaround, we were finally allowed to change our date to August 23rd. My fiancé and I were literally just talking about whether the wedding will happen on our new date. This is beyond frustrating but I completely understand the severity of the situation. We’ve decided that our date will be August 23rd & we won’t push it back any longer. If things get worse, we will do a backyard wedding. I’m in Texas so the push to reopen everything is strong but I think we’re gonna be right back where we were in March. What about you girl?

My venue was a little difficult to work with at first. But they eventually allowed us to change our date.

Our governor is allowing things to start opening back up on Monday so there’s hope! I know my venue is completely booked fri, sat, & sun for the rest of the year. They had to move to Thursday night last I heard from them. Hopefully things should be up and going and we’ll keep our date.

My wedding day is August 22 (originally May 16th) so I have everything done besides rebooking our honeymoon. We are planning to get married August 22 no matter what, but have back up reception day August 21, 21. I am hopeful things will go through August 22 though as planned!

Have you guys booked your honeymoon yet? Mine is to Hawaii and I don’t know when I should rebook since they have that trace restriction right now. But, I’m worried once it’s lifted and tourists are allowed people will be rushing to go and prices will go up.

Now that it’s two months out - hows everyone doing? We were originally 4/19 and got married that day but our reception was pushed to the 23rd. I’m in Maryland and I’m still nervous but our venue says now we’re a go.

    Hi!!

getting married on 8/23 too! but we're in NYC. our governor is strict about opening venues so we can only have a maximum of 50 ppl gatherings. at this point I'm not sure if my wedding venue will be open in time for my reception. I haven't even sent out invites yet. this is frustrating but I'm so happy everyone is very understanding.
