Couples getting married on August 2020!

Woohoo August 7th 2020 here! Planning is going okay I think. We are working on ordering save the dates over black Friday and sending them in January after the holiday rush. What are you working on?

Aug 2! Finished almost everything so far (to be fair I started planning early). Just have to send out invites and get the last minute deets sorted

venue (includes catering)
church booked
ceremony musician booked
photo/DJ/photo booth/ceremony video booked - all 1 vendor
transportation for bridal party and shuttles for guests
hotel blocks
cake - almost done, trying one more tomorrow

the only thing I feel behind on is the dress(es) but I’m waiting to shop with my mom and bridesmaids at Thanksgiving (all are back home, not in my city)

Oops we also sent save the dates to OOT guests early since most guests are OOT, have save the dates for local people but those aren’t sent yet. We did order sample invitations so I think we know what we are getting for them, will wait to order.

August 7th here! I have a tasting set up with catering and bakery and a fitting for my FH and his party. I'm still paying off my wedding dress so I'm anxious to get that delivered. Hopefully it's worth the wait.

I've hired a partial wedding planner at a pretty decent price to help me stop the little details stress lol. I only need help with finding a florist (cause I have no idea where to start), decor rental and day of decorating (set up and break down).

Luckily with my planner, it comes with a bit more like drafting my timeline, venue walk-through and wedding rehearsal. Although I'm somewhat close, I still feel like I'm a million miles away because we're still paying for so much lol.

Wooo congrats! i'm sure your dress will look stunning The partial wedding planner is gonna take away a lot of stress , i'm also looking for a florist and honestly so confused about it but luckily my fmil is helping with that and everything else lol , hope your food tasting goes super!

Thank you! I hope so too lol. As far as the flowers, I heard Ling's Moment is pretty amazing (artificial flowers) but I guess I'll talk to my planner to get his insight. I just wouldn't have any idea how many to buy and if it's really cheaper than real flowers. You're lucky to have your FMIL help you. I'm sure everything will turn out perfect.

8/22/20 here! All major vendors are booked: venue, photographer, DJ, caterer, HMU, and officiant. I have my dress and flowers also. Currently working on gathering supplies and some DIY projects over the holiday season! Next year I plan to jump into the details.

Decided on cake today! We met the woman at a bridal show and at first she wasn’t sure she could fit us in (already!). But her other booked bride got realistic about her wedding guest list size so now she can fit us. For about $100 more than our second choice grocery store cake, we are getting such yummy cake!

Also getting married on that date ❤️ Pretty much only need to book a party bus, bouquets and boutonnières, bridal accessories, groom/groomsmen attire, seating placement cards, and little details such as a card box.
