I’m getting married May 2nd, 2020 and I have the venue, dj, photographer, cake, dress, save the date photos, bridal party...I’m loosely following timelines I’ve seen online. The only thing we are behind on is an officiant and hotel block.
You’re less than a year out, you’re not behind per say but I would start to plan and nail big things down like budget, venue and dress

Start with a budget, and a guest list. Venue is often the first-booked vendor, simply because they book up far in advance, and you don't really have a date until you have your venue booked. So, research your venues, take tours, make calls/emails to get your questions answered. You'll want to know first how many people each venue can hold, and what the package includes (some offer nothing but location, others have a full slate of vendors/services available through them).

Figure out who is paying for the wedding: you and FH, parents, some combination of those. Either way, you need to know what you can afford, and plan accordingly. One way to keep your budget down is to keep your guest list small.

That's plenty to start with. Other vendors that book quickly, and far in advance are: photographer, caterer, baker/dessert person, DJ.

I’m getting married April 11, 2020. So far we have venue, caterer, photographer, day of coordinator, dj, dress, and ceremony music. We have bridesmaids dresses and suits picked out, just haven’t ordered yet. We have sent save the dates and have a hotel block since we have so many out of town guests.

A hotel block is setting a set number of rooms aside at a specific hotel. It’s pretty important if you have a lot of out of town guests. It gives them a cheaper rate, makes it easier for them to not have to search the area for a hotel and the hotel will usually provide shuttle service to the ceremony and reception and back to the hotel. If you don’t have out of town guests it’s not really an issue. The venue you choose will most likely have a list of preferred vendors for hotels. So once you make your guest list, see if you have more than just 1 or 2 out of town guests and if you do, consider looking into hotels. 💗💗

Yes..my wedding planner and I started planning in June. My bridesmaids have been chosen...and have had their dress fitting, and have all purchased their dresses. We've booked the DJ, Baker and Photographer, and we have blocked hotel rooms for out of town guests. My planner has a team whose in charge of ordering things and is doing the catering. I feel truly blessed. Save the dates went out yesterday...and invitations are being created. Rings purchased.... Thank God for my Wedding Planner/Coordinator... She has eliminated a lot of my stress. These months go fast... April 4th will be here before you know it😳 Now i am in search of the perfect dress...

I am getting married on April 19, 2020. So far we have booked my venue for the ceremony & reception (same venue). Asked our bridal party (bridesmaids, flower girls, ring boys, and groomsmen). I have went to look at dresses with the bridesmaids (still havent found one I like). and scheduled two bridal appointments for wedding gowns. We have also and set up a date with a photographer for our engagement photos which will be on our save the dates that will be sent out late October.

We have also purchased the wedding bands already.

Still need to finalize a florist, day of coordinator, DJ, caterer, photographer and bartenders/ wait staff.

I am trying to get a few things done each month so I do not feel super overwhelmed.

I meant we found someone to play our ceremony music, but we do have some songs picked out! Processional for the bridesmaids will be “I See the Light” (from Tangled). I will walk down the aisle to “speechless” by Dan and Shay. FH wants “Only Want to Be With You” by Hootie and the Blowfish (we’re still deciding on that one!)

I am April 4th too and oh yes, lots of planning so far. Venue, dj, photographer all ready. Trying to finalize my invitations but I keep bouncing back and forth between two designs. We've also got our officiant. My dress is on the way. Food menu is still sorta being worked out to be honest. Need to find bouquets, my 2 daughters flower dresses. Gotta buy the alcohol. I'm missing a few minor things lmao
