Hi everyone! I’m in such a hard situation- my wedding is on this day and with the travel ban now on my country as of today the ban will lift on the 14- everyone flies here the 15th and 16th- the only option I can think of is to postpone it... is anyone else having this problem?? How are venues and vendors abt postponing? Just want to see what I’m gonna be up against when I talk to them 😖😖

Decision made: We’re cancelling! Our venue is kindly working with us to find a new date. Because they do the catering too, it makes life a lot easier. We live in Switzerland.

I'm done but now we have to cut the guest list down to 50 people including our wedding party. We don't want to put anyone at risk, there's only 5 weeks until the big day....

We postponed our wedding to December 5th. Our venue coordinator and I were crying on the phone. It was a tough decision and changes a lot with weather and sunlight. But we can’t live with potentially getting someone sick. We figured forcing people to come would be selfish even after we planned for 2 years.

Hi! I had to cancel - rather postpone our wedding because of COVID-19. With the recent recommendations by the CDC to not meet in groups over 10 and a mass shut down of schools etc. we had no other option. We live in South Dakota, but the wedding/reception were going to be on the border of Minnesota/North Dakota. We were playing it by ear and taking everything day-by-day, but things have just gotten out of hand on the national and moving into local scale. My Fiance and I are very close to our families and have large close families so we will be postponing to Fall if possible. Our vendors have been GREAT. This is uncharted territory for everyone and they are doing everything they can to make our wedding happen, it just won't be on the date we originally planned on. At the end of the day, postponing our wedding is stressful, but so many people and businesses are affected much more than we are. Best of luck and prayers to all of my fellow April brides, I may end up being an October or November bride, but I'm just happy that we have our health and love to strengthen during this time. Anything to keep our world and more closely, family/friends/community/vendors safe.

One month to go until we tie the knot! Trying to stay positive but starting to think of a plan B just in case.

The closer the date gets the most hope I’m losing. We have people coming from outside the country too.

    Hi Ladies!

we have made the decision to not go ahead with our planned event, but instead just get married with our parents present due to COVID19.

My question is this: we got our GA marriage license yesterday and when asked the date we said 4/18, however we are thinking of doing it sooner so we don’t have to worry about the events. Will this affect our marriage license??

    Hey everyone!

My name is Annie Mae Smiley smile If in any way our story could encourage you or any friends/family going through similar situations that would be such a blessing.

I never was that girl to really dream growing up, It never crossed my mind what my future college, future husband, future home would look like. It wasn’t until our wedding was postponed on April 18th of this year that I realized for once I was actually dreaming. That excitement turned to defeat so quickly as I sat in my room crying... my fiancé walked in and my exact words were “this is why I don’t dream... it sets me up for sadness and failure.” I was broken for weeks and the constant change in the news was a tiny jab and reminder each time that my big day wasn’t any where in sight.

It was however... the most incredible day was gonna be different, simple, beautiful, unexpected, and in Gods right time. It was as if God was removing all of the extravagancy and expectations that go into planning a big wedding (a wedding of 300 people) and honed my sight back into looking into the eyes of my future husband.

And That’s the real covenant... the covenant between husband and wife. Not all the details, parties that go into the big day. If anything the Corona Virus has really opened my eyes to this. Although my wedding wasn’t what I expected, everything fell into place...

We got married a month earlier March 21st, 2020 and we will have a huge celebration when all of this clears over.

If right now you are stressed, doubting, In fear your feelings are validated. I was there a month ago, but now I’m sitting in my new home completely content.

It was a day I will never forget... here’s a link to our wedding video if this can give you any glimpse of hope! Hang in there!!
