Hello,

I was wondering what everyones thoughts were here. I had originally sent save the dates to the friend and boyfriend. They’ve since broken up, so do I still give her a general “+1” on the formal invitation, or do I just invite her? Also, she lives far away so I don’t know if it’s proper etiquette to give her a +1 anyways. Would love your advice! Thanks!

You don't have to give her a plus one at this point. But......since she is traveling, it would be a wonderful gesture to let her bring a friend through a plus one.

I would still give her a plus one. One of my friends recently invited me to a wedding out of town and did not give me a plus one which is actually the reason I’m not attending. No one wants to go to an out of town wedding alone.

Especially since she lives far and has to travel id giver her a plus one. Even if she brings a family member. Going to a wedding alon after a breakuo would suck

We are giving all our guest that are out of town and 18 and older a plus 1. All local guest in high school or older get a plus 1.

I would just address the invite to her. If you have room for the plus one, great! If not, not a big deal. We are only giving plus 1s to people with significant others.
