Cotton candy/ Snow Cone buffet?

Michelle, on July 25, 2017 at 3:03 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 13

There's this rental place in my area and they have options of cotton candy or snow cone buffets. It's under the topic of wedding trends but wasn't sure if that's a good thing or not. I am having a summer wedding so I feel the snow cones would be a good option as long as it doesn't seem childish or something. Would you all enjoy having a snow cone buffet if it was offered?

At a party, yes, a wedding, no.

I freakin love snow cones! I would eat one anywhere, including at a wedding in the summer.

We are having cotton candy, but if there were sno-cones, I'd be all over those!

I would not be mad if I was a guest at a wedding and they offered sno-cones! I personally LOVE it!

Sno-cones would be great at a wedding! I would be really happy to have one at a summer wedding. Seems like a nice touch.

I considered renting a Cotton Candy machine for our rehearsal dinner. We decided to have it at a restaurant instead of having it catered at our lodging. But I think it's fun.

Yes, I'd be all for either one, though what is the "buffet" element of this? Is there an option of hiring people to serve this to your guests to reduce the chance of mess? Especially cotton candy, those machines are crazy messy!

@Jo yes you can hire an attendant to help make & put out the cones. They say you can also incorporate it into the bar or just have it as a dessert.

I would love a sno-cone but I agree about considering the messiness factor.

Love snow cones. Cotton candy seems messy since you eat it with your hands. If you got this route, you should also have some wet wipes and hand sanitizer for people.
