Costco/ sams club cake

Are you intending to stack Costco sized sheets cakes on top of one another? I don't recommend that. It would collapse under its own weight. You'd need structural support. It's also very tricky to stack a cake that's already been covered in buttercream. Odds are someone would mess up the frosting during the handling.


I wouldn't rely on a home baker, unless they have specifically created tiered cakes before

Before for weddings i see bakes bring the cake pieces in separate tiers and stack them at the location and it looks like it takes skill. I was hoping someone could explain their experience with store bakery tier cakes. My local store bakeries do not have a delivery service. So i was hoping to hear some tips on transport and putting together. Hope that makes more sense.

Does it come unstacked? I bought a Walmart 3 tier cake and it was already completely stacked and they put it in a heavy cardboard box with a lid. The sides came down and you just slid it on the stand. I've haven't bought from Costco/Sam's before though. The one from Walmart was for my daughter's 21st birthday.

Was just curious because I haven't looked into those stores but was considering them as well.
