I feel everything depends on the type of decoration and city where you are located. I’m having 75 and getting married in south Florida. Decoration was 2000 for my wedding. For some people it could be less or more.

A lot of us are DIYing our own decorations, and enlisting family and friends to help us put it all up at our ceremony/reception spaces. I'd much rather do that, and spend my money elsewhere.

Have you checked out some different event decorators in your area to find an average cost? As you can imagine, prices vary from state to state and even city to city so finding local vendors with an accurate price point for your location is important.
