Cost of Viennese table

We aren't having a traditional Viennese table, but we are having a mini dessert bar with cookies, cupcakes, candy, popcorn, cake pops, brownies & mini pies. For 175 people, we are budgeting around $1,000.

For my Viennese table at the Venetian, its $10pp for an extra 30min or $20pp for an extra hour for the party. We went with the extra hour. So for a venue minimum of 175 guests, we are shelling out $3,500.

Hi Emily!! The cost for a Viennese table is going to vary depending on where in the country your wedding is. Just from researching, I've seen prices anywhere from about $7 pp to $25 pp, so it's a real stretch.

I've personally never been to a wedding with a Viennese table, but I know I would be super down and excited if I were. If it fits within your budget and you like sweets, I would definitely say go ahead and try it out! Would you be doing the Viennese table in addition to a cake or no?

Our venue actually includes a Viennese Table. However the bakery they get things from have no allergy controls and a lot of our guests as well as me have severe allergies to everything from nuts to dairy to strawberries(it's something like 50% of guests). We're trying to accommodate the most common allergies and I know good bakeries who can, so we asked for a discount for not having the venue provide the Viennese Table and the cake. I am trying to assess if the discount they're giving is ripping us off, and it 100% is based on your response. The cake discount seems reasonable at $3pp, cakes seem to cost 2.50-5pp so $3 is reasonable. I know my bakery will charge $4 per serving for the allergy free cake. Viennese Table discount price is $4pp which seems unreasonable based on yours as well as everyone else's response. (1000/175 above for providing your own=5.71pp, still almost$2 more than the discount they're giving us).
