I had mine changed to a corset from a button cover zip back and loved it. It was able to move with me all night and I was able to breath. It cost $250 to change it, but I'm glad I did

Like...how much doesn't fit? Like, can't be let out by a seamstress?

How much weight did you gain? I am guessing you can get it on just not zipped correct? You have a little time for some weight loss.

You can have a seamstress add in a corset back. It will cost you a couple of hundred bucks, but if your dress is uncomfortably tight, it's probably worth the cost.

I am changing my dress to a corset so I can get the fit that I want. My waist needed to be taken in but the bust needed to be taken out a lot and my seamstress was worried we didn't have enough fabric. I am paying $250 for her taking the zipper and adding the corset and hemming the bottom of my dress.

I second the question about weight gain... 4 months is time to do some damage control if you want.

To give you an idea: you can realistically assume 3 months at 1/4-1/2 pound a week it's 3-6 pounds. 6-10 you're looking at a dress size or two.

I purposefully put on 20 pounds last winter and it was only 2 dress sizes.

Its is 25 pounds since i last had the dress on. It fits but doesn't zip up very far. I have been working on weight loss but starting to worry that i will not make it.

Here is the other day. of course it would go tighter if someone was pulling it togeather so its not that big of a gap. i have done some good work because it use to not zip up this far. please be gentle with your comments.

Mine does not fit and I am sucking at losing weight so I may have to do the same thing. The more I think about it though, a corset might be better for keeping the girls in check, so it may be a good thing.

I think a corset back would be a good idea just to be safe, plus they do look nice. Keep up with the weight loss and get the corset done. It would be a shame to work really hard, look great but still be missing one little inch to zip up especially with the last minute stresses of wedding planning. You have lots of time still and you can very realistically work hard and get that last bit of extra gained weight off. It would just be so stressful looking for a last minute dress because you can't zip it up.

I'm totally in the same boat, I can zipped up my dress but I don't like the way my arm fat is hanging off the dress. It's not a lot but I'm still insecure about it. I was scared changing it into a corset top would be expensive but $250 is not too bad.

I just did my measurements and i lost 1.5 inches in my belly over the past month!!!!!!!! if you knew how long i have stuggled with weight you would know how amazing this is.

@jsarge i am definitely going this weekend to see about putting in the corset. Thanks for the advice. i agree. i think it would have looked so much better if i could have zipped it BUT i want to feel beautiful.

@dexlovely You have plently of time to work on your arms, but dont let your insecurities get in the way of loving yourself!

I'm so glad I read this! I'm sorry you're having trouble with your dress. But, I plan on wearing my moms dress, which is currently kind of small. Probably zips maybe about as much as yours. I know I have plenty of time to lose weight, but I am absolutely terrible at it, and this is a great idea. Plus, who doesn't love corsets?! I never even knew this was possible. Thanks for sharing Smiley smile
