Corset back dress w/o modesty panel questions 🤷‍♀️

I found a few pictures online just though a Google search. Thb, it's not a look I love. To me it looks like the dresses just don’t quite fit. I think it depends a lot on the dress, on close together the sides of the corset back are, and the thickness of the corset ribbons. (the last picture I think looks ok)

Mine has a corset back. I actually don't know what a modesty panel is, and I have no idea if my dress has one. I should probably figure that out lol. I didn't even think until the other day about the fact that my mom and sister are going to be the one's who have to lace me up on the day lol.

I just read on someone else's forum question that Spanx makes special occasion strapless dress shapewear with a split so you are able to go to the bathroom. So I'm going to look into that.

For my first marriage I didn't do the modesty panel, but can't find a good picture. I didn't wear shape wear under it.

I would have loved a corset back! So flattering & sexy, plus if you gain or lose an inch your dress will still fit perfectly. 😉

As a designer, I always advocate for the modesty panel, especially if you need shapewear or a bra. It also results in a much cleaner look. If the lacing isn't done up just perfect, it really shows in contrast of the dress to skin.
