Corsages instead of bouquets?

Alexis, on December 27, 2019 at 12:26 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9
I’m trying to think of ways to save on the flowers for our wedding, and was thinking of doing corsages for the bridesmaids instead of bouquets... Has anybody done this? Please share pictures if you have!

I haven’t, but I did go to a wedding that had this in addition to the bouquets for the bridesmaids. Wedding party and extended family members (and their SO) wore them, so I had one. The different color corsages indicated which side you were from, either bride or groom.

Have you thought about the bouquet hoops? You can buy in silk for like 20-40$ or ask your florist - flower amount used decreases a lot.

I had really small bouquets for my bridesmaids. They were also faux. Faux would be cheaper.

I recommend you to check Ling's moments flowers. They have the bouquets or the individual faux flowers for a good price. You will also be able to find the boutonnières and corsages. All of my flowers are from them, even my bouquet and I didn't spend a lot!

Try your local grocery store’s floral department. I’m going with Kroger and it’s not as expensive as flower shops. Toss bouquet is like $10, bridesmaid bouquet if I can remember the quote is like $30.

I didn't have bridesmaids and didn't want to carry flowers that would just die so I had a corsage made from paper and comic books. Everyone that knows me knew it was perfect for me, I got a lot of compliments on it. It might not be exactly your thing, but once you make it your way, this is a great idea in my opinion.Corsages instead of bouquets? 2

I would just do fake flowers for them. Sometimes corsages can end up being more expensive!
