Corsage Etiquette

Andrea, on March 3, 2014 at 10:11 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 40

Making arrangements with my florist and realized that I completely forgot about the corsages for the special ladies in the family!

How are you ladies handling this? Where are you drawing the line, or are you even giving corsages for anyone outside of the wedding party?

We are getting one for our mothers. There won't be any grandparents there, but it they were, I would get one for our grandmothers too. I ordered one for my aunt because I only have one aunt and she is also my godmother but she passed away a month ago. Ill be putting her corsage at the memory table we are setting up.

The idea is that you're giving flowers to your honored guests. This includes your wedding party (with bouquets instead of corsages for bridesmaids), but also includes the rest of your honored guests (usually parents, grandparents, siblings, readers).

We're doing bouquets for me and bridesmaids, corsages for our mothers, my grandmothers, and his sister-in-law, and boutonnieres for him, his groomsmen, his father, our grandfathers, my brother, and my godmother, who's officiating.

I'm not having bridesmaids or a moh. So it'll be both of our moms and my grandmother wearing corsages.

groom, grooms brother/best man , my grandfather (walking me down the aisle) will wear bouteneers

I am giving a corsage to the moms and grandmother. Also, I will be giving one to my DOC. She is a friend of mine, and I consider her a part of the bridal party. She will be at all of the wedding events.

We're doing corsages for our mothers and my grandmother. If I didn't have so many aunts, I would probably give them one too.

Mothers, FH's grandmothers, and my godmother (since I have no living grandmother)

We are doing little bouquets. My sister did that for her wedding and my mom mentioned it was much more comfortable than having flowers wrapped around her wrist all night.
