Corsage and Boutonniere Ribbons

Amber, on January 4, 2024 at 5:04 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 3

My wedding colors are ivory, taupe-y champagne and a hint of black. Our Bridesmaids are wearing champagne colored dresses and the Groomsmen will be wearing black tuxedos.

When I am thinking about Ribbon colors, I like the Groomsmen's ribbon to be black but the corsage ribbon for MOG/MOB and Grandmothers to be Ivory ( as well as the bouquets ribbon). Has anyone ever done two different color ribbons? Do you think this would look good or clash?

There's so many decisions to be made that I'm finding it hard to make any decision. LOL.

Your help and input is greatly appreciated.

I think it would be fine, especially if they're both neutrals. Not a lot of people will be that close, so unless it's flowing, not many people will see it anyway

Black ribbons are traditional for mourning, and they’ll be invisible against the black tuxes. So while different colors are fine in theory, I’d steer away from the black ribbons.

Champagne would look good and pop against both black and white. Maybe do champagne for all of them?
