Coronavirus

So, I’m honestly starting to panic about my wedding. With the stress that a typical bride has before their wedding I feel as though I have more stress building up. My wedding date is May 30th. My state has closed pretty much everything and no more than 50 people at gatherings or events for the next 8 weeks. The 8th week will be on May 10th. I’m getting panicked that this will interfere with my special day. I have not purchased insurance yet. I’m going to do that this week. They told me that the insurance will not cover the virus if someone has it. Am I over reacting??? I can’t calm myself down.

First of all, your concerns are valid. Secondly, we have a bit of time to see if this will calm down. Also a late May bride and the next couple of weeks will be key. Don't be alarmed by cases rising in the US in the next couple of days - that's a natural result of people realizing they have symptoms and a wider case definition by the health services sector. If the rate of cases increasing after a couple of weeks then there is definitely more room to be concerned.

Wedding insurance will more than likely not help you now since the virus is considered a known entity and pandemic. I'm not sure if you will be able to get coverage specifically if one of you gets sick....
