Coronavirus Stress

Ashleyrenee, on March 22, 2020 at 11:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
Me and my Fiancé wedding was set and stone for April 5, 2020...we was soo excited...we was on track with everything and just came back from our bachelorette and bachelor trips...because of the virus we was forced to postpone our wedding...
We were given a few available dates to have our wedding on...all of our options were literally a month or more apart from one another...we both agreed saying “the sooner the better” and chose July 5th (the next available date)...my dad is worried that the shutdown and everything might not be over by then..my mom is arguing that it will be but out of town guest might not make it because of the holiday...Should I be worried? Should I postpone again? What would you do if you was in our shoes?

Similar situation - our wedding was set for 3/30 and we just were told 2 days ago we have to reschedule. We chose 7/20. I think it is enough time from now til then as long as everyone continues to do their part in staying at home, washing hands, etc. Honestly we will just have to wait and see girl but I'm feeling optimistic Smiley smile. Good vibes to you!

With cases multiplying like crazy and no mass testing yet, I would think about August at the earliest.

With the current situation and information we have now, I strongly consider August or September to be the earliest that you postpone to because this virus isn’t going away any time soon. Even if we somehow gain control of it and the transmission slows, it could be awhile before society is ready to go back to normal and attend events. If it were me, I would have a backup plan to minimize stress as the situation changes and progresses in the next weeks and months

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this Ashleyrenee! It's heartbreaking! Right now I feel like it's really difficult to make any kind of short term plans, given how quickly local situations and guidelines seem to be changing. What are the next available dates if you don't go with July 5th?

Thanks for your response...the next dates would be August on his mom bday, September the day before his bday, and there’s one date available in October that I can’t think of rn...July seems so far away so can you imagine how it feels considering October as a date?! We’re been engaged since September of 2018
