Of course is more to worry about your wedding, but keeping yourself busy by planning your wedding so you have something to look forward to is as good a coping strategy as any other. It’s not dumb.

I think in this kind of time, you need to be planning so you can stay positive!! It’s something happy that can at least take your mind off things for just a little bit. I’m still going to work nonessentially while basically the entire state is shut down, so I keep telling my FH that when we are together at the end of the day we just need to continuously make each other laugh because my anxiety is through the roof and I’m so scared. So continue on!

This time with everything happening the plans keeps our minds at ease. So keep planning.

You are not stupid for continuing to plan for your wedding. I’m doing the same! My own FH said that now is not the time to plan for our wedding but I told him it’s keeping me happy and distracted. He hasn’t said anything to me about it since. If it makes you happy during these times, keep doing it!

That is very rude of him. Wedding planning has been a distraction for me with everything going on. Do I feel bad for what is going on, yes. But I won't stop planning and living life because of it.

That's every rude of your brother. I'm sure it's probably rooted in fear, but that still doesn't excuse his rudeness. There is nothing wrong with what you're doing.

I'm scheduled to get married in July and I haven't postponed yet either. I'm waiting until closer to before I make that call. Currently, it's looking like my area should be cleared by then (WA/OR). Unless our venue is shutdown or there are still group # restrictions when our wedding gets closer, we are planning to go ahead. Even if we end up postponing the party and official ceremony, we'll be going to a courthouse or having a friend officiate on our date instead.
