Coronavirus— Don’t wear your rings!

Sexypoodle, on March 29, 2020 at 11:56 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 11
I randomly ran across this article that expresses reasons for not wearing your rings (and watches) during COVID-19.

Interesting points 🤔 Although I still wear my rings 🤷🏽‍♀️ (However it’s not often since I’m working from home and not doing my regular routine of getting dressed and putting on my rings, watch and other jewelry in the morning).

I’m not going to lie...I can’t imagine NOT wearing my ring. These times are so uncertain and looking down at it just makes me feel better. But like you, I’m home 24/7 now so I don’t really have to worry about contamination!

I quit wearing my ring weeks ago for fear that bacteria/virus could get trapped in/under it. Plus I’m washing my hands constantly, so it would require removing it literally 30 times a day. Not to mention all the disinfectant wipes, which are bad for jewelry

Yep, I only realized the other day that I hadn’t been wearing my ring 🤷🏽‍♀️. I don’t wear it to bed and I’m out of my daily routine.

I agree. All the extra handwashing was a lot while wearing my rings. Then I didn’t feel comfortable about using hand sanitizer all of the time. So it feels better to simply not wear them.

I don’t see the link anymore when I click on it but I can imagine that there’s germs on the ring too

I saw that article a few weeks ago and stopped wearing my engagement ring and one of my grandmother's rings. I still have to show up for work and I'm hitting the hand sanitizer so much my hands are peeling. I'm super worried I'm going to misplace my rings though

Do you keep your rings somewhere safe at home? If so, you won’t lose them. 😉
