Coronavirus Blues!

Hey Brides!

I've seen multiple posts about wedding worries and glad I'm not the only one. I'm getting married 5/8/20 and I'm praying this is all over by then!!

I'm so upset because my bachelorette trip to Jamaica (4/16-4/19) got cancelled. I was hoping it could be salvaged, but my bridal party wanted to make sure they could get their money back before it was declared a pandemic
(and nothing would be refunded). Luckily, they were all able to get refunds! I hate to sound selfish, but I'm really disappointed. I had been buying gifts for the trip and clothing/swimsuits for myself!

All this to ask how are you all celebrating (bachelorette) amid this unprecedented time? I do still want to have a great time with my girls, even if it's something local or a mini trip!

Sending hugs, I have cancelled mine as well that was supposed to happen this coming weekend. I'm not sure what well do instead. My girls said we can do a day thing in about a month, so I'm super bummed it's not going to be at all what it was supposed to be. It really sucks, though I know it was the best decision. Maybe you girls can do a spa day and night out to a bar near you?

Hugs to you! I'm sorry you're experiencing this too. I was thinking about a spa day as well. Definitely a nice dinner!

    Good luck and thank you!

I agree with you. I am mad all this is happening. My wedding is on april 18th and my sister just cancelled on coming. I'm pretty sure more will. In the end, we will have just have the church and a small dinner for those that come. I already spent money on my bustle and most likely won't even use it. That's 200 dollars i would have spent it on something else. But i have a box full of stuff i was going to take to the reception and i just want to cry. I really hope this calms down but right now i am just in disbelief and its becoming real.

I just canceled my April 18th wedding and my bachelorette was this upcoming weekend. We were planning on going to Nashville and my girls had planned everything and were all in. I decided to cancel my bachelorette after I postponed my wedding due to all the virus restrictions and travel bans for non essential travel.

They were reimbursed for the Airbnb, however some of the other activities they planned were not fully refunded or credited. A few of my girls were upset due to the fact they felt they wasted their money. I tried to ensure that no one knew this would happen and it's not worth taking the trip just because you miss out on money spent. I even volunteered to reimburse those who were upset about not getting refunds. It's a horrible feeling to have your life upside down due to this virus! I feel for those that are positive its so sad all the way around.
