Corona Virus

I’m sure a lot of us are stressed and over thinking right about now! I get married 5/30/20 little less than 3 months😩 I’m really hoping the virus won’t ruin my wedding and honeymoon. We live in Delaware and are getting married here. We are honeymooning in Montego Bay Jamaica. We really don’t want to push the date out further, we are high school sweet hearts been together 11 years and ready to have our dream wedding! I’m not freaking out like most people bc I did my research and 90% of my guests are local but still worried people may not want to attend due to fear. We don’t have a huge guest list it’s a hit 80 guests. If the venue and vendors don’t cancel we’ll still have our wedding. Ima play it day by day and pray for the best!! I hope it calms down by May once it gets warmer!
What’s everyone’s plan if you have an upcoming wedding? TTM

Hi date twin!! I'm in California, so things aren't as bad as in other states. So far, my venue has no plans to close, and the wedding is going forward. About 95% of my guests are local. The ones who are travelling from other states are still planning to come. So, we're going forward!! At least until I am forced to consider a Plan B. Like yours, our wedding is smaller, only about 75 guests.

I have been planning this wedding for 2 years! And I've been looking forward to this day my whole life! I don't want to have to cancel. But we can only take it day by day. It's really frustrating.

I still don't know about the honeymoon. We had decided on a mini-moon to Disneyland. but now Disneyland is closed, and so we have to wait and see if they will reopen in time for us to go. The trip can always be postponed, of course. But it would be a real bummer if that happened.

Our wedding is April 25th in Chicago, where they just banned gatherings of 250 people until may. We are talking with our vendors to see if we can find a future date that works for everyone and they are being super understanding with everything thats going on. FH and I still plan to have a ceremony on the 25th, but just with close friends and family. But we are waiting a couple weeks to make a final decision. Our honeymoon is June 15th in Jamaica so I'm hoping we won't have to cancel that yet.

My wedding is scheduled to take place on May 29th. I'm a little concerned but haven't been panicking just yet in the hopes that the virus will be in better control in May. We have our final consultation with the venue on April 4th and will bring this up. At this point, we plan to move forward, recognizing some people flying in from other countries may not want to attend anymore. Our rvsp deadline is May so we are trying to be optimistic they will wait to see what happens later on before making their decision too. If our venue does cancel, we would still consider finding another venue if time allows. For now, we will just be watching what happens, delaying some of our vendor payments we planned to pay off earlier, and hope for the best. Good luck with everything!

My wedding is 5/29 and bridal shower is 4/25. I'm fine with canceling my bridal shower if I need to but really dont want to postpone the wedding. It's been stressful enough. We havent sent out invites yet but I'm anticipating a lot of people not wanting to come which is fine. We will get married either way. Our venue is not going to cancel any May weddings as of now but will adjust plans as needed. Hopefully things will settle down by then.
