Corona Postponement

Shona, on April 8, 2020 at 5:16 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 2

So we've had to move our Wedding from 9th May 2020 to 15th May 2021.

Most of our vendor have been really supportive. Our photographer is now wanting 50% now and 50% a month before the new wedding date, the Registrar wont refund us for the notice of marriage despite it not being our fault we cant get married, TUI have advised they will be contacting us to re-book and the venue draping company aren't replying.

I've spent my day while working from home in tears and panic trying to sort everything, some family members have suggested we cancel and start from scratch which isn't helpful as the venue has a special meaning to us.

Has anyone else had issues?

I am so sorry that you're currently going through this much stress, at this point, I would not cancel the wedding. You have worked so hard for your wedding day, and I promise you that it will all work out in the end. My advice to you would be to count your losses, tell the vendors your having issues with that you no longer require their services, and that you will be leaving a poor review on their website, their social media pages, and so on for their poor treatment and customer service. I would also start looking for new vendors that are more understanding of the current situation.

    Hi Shona,

I'm so sorry you had to change your plans, but I'm so glad you've locked down a new date!! BOpClAR83wqJF1bFtFERgypV_BICZsbBvwcIMhTa

Stay positive and hang in there!! You've bought yourself a lot more time and hopefully more peace of mind!
