Coping with the Covid-19 Pandemic and our “new world”

Hi Brides and Grooms! My wife and I have been thinking about all of you during this time. We just got married last October and Wedding Wire helped me out so much, the community here is amazing, and I just wanted you all to know you’re in my heart and in my prayers.

I hear things are getting canceled and my heart breaks for each of you. Are you guys postponing? Are you doing anything to include people virtually? How are you feeling and coping?

Congrats on your wedding and thank you for checking in. My wedding is supposed to be May 2nd and it is a waiting game. The venue is hopeful but honestly , it doesn’t look good here in Mass. there is a ban of more than 25 that runs until April 7th and they will re-evaluate the situation. Like it was stated , the next 15 days is crucial to see what the near future holds.

The venue will give us our deposit if they are forced to cancel. Not sure about the dj.
We went last night to look at other options. I have already accepted it probably won’t happen and had my hopes up that we could get another Saturday this year. Nope! NO Saturdays whatsoever. They have 5 dates available and they are either Friday (holiday weekends) or Sunday mornings. My fiancé and I are devastated and don’t know what to do at this point.

As of now, everything is a go. Our venue cancelled on us so we are doing a small backyard bbq. Also our church is only allowing very limited invites. But i told him we need something good to come out of this chaos. So hopefully our wedding is a go for april 18.
