Coordinating mask to groom's attire

Ashley, on July 21, 2020 at 3:23 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 7

I want to make coordinating masks for myself (bride) and my husband-to-be to wear throughout our wedding day. I'm going to make mine out of the scraps from my dress alterations. Should I make the groom's mask to match the color of his suit or the color of his tie?

Color of his suit would be cool!

Suit it if you’re going for a subtle look, tie if you want to make more of a statement.

Depends on how much you want him to stand out. For us, for the groomsman and fathers we're matching suits, and matching dresses for bridesmaid and mothers. For the groom, we're matching his tie.

I've looked on etsy and found some black tuxedo looking masks. Anyone else have any other stores to look at??

This is accurate. We couldn't buy any of the fabric his suit is made from and they would only send us one swatch, so he ended up buying an extra tie and I used that to make his mask so we knew it would be a perfect match.

Try searching for the style/color/features you're looking for instead of "wedding mask" or something similar. Otherwise you'll just end up with a lot of black ones that either say "Mr." or "groom," or are supposed to look like a tuxedo.
