Cookies!

Lisa, on March 7, 2020 at 5:40 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 17
We are considering having cookies as favors for our guests.

How many cookies do you think would be sufficient?
We are inviting 100, expecting 90-95.
The idea right now is to have them displayed with bags for guests to take as the please. Or would it be better to package them in bundles?

I would prefer them packaged just so not everyone would be touching them. Maybe put 2 per bag and have enough for each guest to take a bag

I agree about the no touching/packaging.
If small cookies (like macaroons), then 2 each. But if a regular size or larger cookie, 1 is fine.

I would have them packaged and put at the tables. Maybe on top of plates?

Either a personalized bag, if a display table, or personalized tag if packaged.

We are considering doing 1 large decorated sugar cookie already bagged or a small container of bite size Biscochito’s for each guest. My FH aunt makes beautiful and delicious cookies and just offered to make them for us.

Daughter's favors were 2 large (like almost 4" chocolate chip cookies from Costco -- we ordered them for pick-up two days before the wedding) in a cellophane bag (we bought a package of 100 bags from Michael's), sealed with a sticker to match their wedding paper goods from Zazzle. I agree with others about prepackaging cookies.... I'd be kind of grossed out by a big tray of cookies that people were taking from -- not everyone will use the tongs provided. At the end of the night, no one left their cookie favors behind, and they probably cost about 75 cents a piece.

I’m considering doing a decorated sugar cookie, individually wrapped, with a little ribbon and tag that say thanks for sharing our special day. We will put in baskets as you exit. I’m worried about the young ones eating them before guests leave.

I think if they are personalized cookies, 1 is sufficient but maybe package them in some cellophane with gift ribbon! If they're chocolate chip, etc., I think maybe 2 or 3. I would still cellophane wrap them but check vistaprint- you might be able to find some cute round labels with something wedding related on it!

Have them prepackaged in baggies. 2 per person if small or 1 large.
