    @Jass - I am having roughly 250 guests.

    @FMS - I am not sure if I do or don't. I will post the cookie list at the reception for people to see

    @dks64 - My mistress of ceremony asked if she could make the cookies so she is making them for me! :-)

    Buckeyes are basically peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate that look like buckeyes from the tree. From wikipedia : "Buckeye candy (a.k.a. Buckeyes), a peanut butter and chocolate candy made to resemble the nut of a buckeye tree"

    Yummmm

    OMG, I think I hate you now. I want cookies! Seriously, though, that sounds great! And I could be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure that buckeyes are peanut butter cookies with a hershey's kiss stuck in the middle. SOOOOOO good!

    All of those cookies sound delicious! I may "steal" a few of your ideas for my table too! I'm so glad someone else calls those Mexican Wedding Cake cookies Snowballs. That's what we've always called them, and I love them and I'm totally requiring my dad to bake them for us. Also, if you're looking for ideas, check out Martha Stewart. She has all kinds of adorable, unique cookies. I found a cappuccino sandwich cookie recipe that I'm super pumped to make for the cookie table.

    @ Future Mrs, some guests could be HIGHLY allergic to nuts and if another nut free cookie came in contact with one with nuts, it could be a bad thing..just warning you! I love nuts in cookies and stuff, but avoiding nuts and pears as you never know who is allergic to nuts and my one freind is HIGHLY allergic to pears

    As a generally picky and simple eater, if I were going to your wedding, I would really appreciate just a plain ordinary chooclate chip cookie or maybe sugar cookies.
