You have to look at how far your area is in opening things, your guest count, how many people are high risk, out of state or country etc. we were 10-4 and postponed but we have 200 guests from 14 states and more than half are high risk with age and health issues. We also live in so cal where nothing is open and all gatherings are banned. Some people are in low case areas and up to 100 or 200 people gatherings are okay again. Look at all the factors and plan like normal if you can. We had a drop date of August 1 where we said okay if it’s not better we will postpone. We decided to postpone a few weeks early because they just closed more of what was open around here. I know it sucks and I feel for you! You just have to look at your wedding and your guests and make a decision about a date to give your guests and vendors enough time notice. Good luck!

I totally understand. It is incredibly hard making decisions about our weddings right now. 4 months is still a while when compared to how covid is changing. I would at least see where the next few weeks look like. 💕

I recommend reaching out to your venue and vendors to get a backup plan in place. You still have some time before you need to decide whether to postpone, but if you get a backup plan together now, you'll save yourself a bit of work later if you do end up postponing.

Definitely talk to your venue and see what they say. We’re getting married October 10. Our venue isn’t limiting anything, also the wedding is in an area that has very few cases and I’ve seen a many many seemingly normal weddings happen recently so I wouldn’t be the first by far. All of our guests are within 2 hours of the venue so everyone is local with a guest count at about 80 people. So I mean all of those factors will dictate whether or not to go forward. Smaller guest list, local guests and an area that hasn’t been very affected would be good signs. Things could change in the next few months and everyone needs to decide what they’re comfortable with, so ultimately it’s up to you! And we also are aware there may be guests uncomfortable coming because of the virus and that is totally understandable! But do we know when things will be “normal”? No, we don’t. It could be next year, it could be in 2 years or more. So even postponing would bring a lot of uncertainty and stress.

Where Are You Located? Your Location Is What This Is Depending On. Some Places Are Opening Up While Others Are Locking Back Down. Honestly It Isnt Going Away Anytime Soon. Don't Put A Pause On Your Life Because Of It-Just Take Necessary Precautions, Expect Some RSVP Declines, And Make Changes If Its Needed. I Also Think It's Too Early To Decide. Maybe Wait Until Late August/September And Reassess Your Situation. I Hope You Can Have The Wedding You Planned Smiley smile
