Connecticut Engagement Photo Locations

Jessica, on July 4, 2018 at 11:49 AM Posted in Connecticut Planning 2 12
Hi all,
Does anyone know of any places to do fall engagement photos is CT? I want to capture all the foliage and am really hoping to do all photos outside.
Thanks!

Weir Farm! We live in TX but took our announcement photos in CT since we went there in mid October right after he proposed, before anyone outside of immediate family knew. I can’t state enough how beautiful Weir Farm was with the foliage and the stone walls, and it’s a National Park site so you have easy free access. We were the only ones there when we went. I’ve attached a picture, although WW crops it badly. Self taken photo on a timer.

Anywhere in CT during fall will be beautiful but I absolutely love the Saville Dam/reservoir in Barkhamstead. You can walk out on the bridge and it looks like a mini castle... so cool! The first three images are from Yahoo search but the last is a pic we took when we went in the spring. Completely free to get there, just pull of the side of the road and park!

Forgot to add that the foliage map is great to understand peak foliage by region! We use this quite regularly during the fall when we want to take road trips.

Have you decided where you're going to take your e-pics, Jessica? I love the idea of having fall foliage in the background and you can crunch on the leaves in between takes! Smiley smile
