Confirmation/Reminder Calls (emails) To guests

Soon2beMrsLittle, on June 12, 2014 at 10:08 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

Did anyone do this? and if you did how many days/weeks before the wedding did you send out a reminder call/text or email about the wedding?

Agree with Erin. I wouldn't worry about it, unless you mean for the people that didn't RSVP. Then I would contact them a few days after your deadline.

Our coordinator will do "reminder" calls 2 weeks before RSVPs are due...she gets to be the bad guy vs me!

I only plan on doing calls/emails/texts to any non responders who haven't RSVP'd by the deadline. After that, whoever shows, shows. I know when I RSVP to an event, I don't need a reminder that I'm going.

I wouldn't bother with it. Just trust that your guests aren't that forgetful. You will probably get no shows, but you can rest assure, it won't be because they forgot.

I will say that we sent out a traffic advisory due to emergency construction in our area that we knew would pose as an inconvenience to guests. So it served as a reminder, but it wasn't intended to be.

Nope. I did follow ups with people that didn't RSVP but calling/emailing people to be like "HEY DONT FORGET MY WEDDING" seems extreme and kinda rude to me. Your guests are adults that manage their own schedules every day.

We won't be doing reminder calls. If they RSVP'd then they'll have a seat and food at the reception. If not then they will have to sit at the "overflow" tables (if there's still space) and hope they get food. It sounds bad but I have stressed the importance of RSVP'ing.

I did facebook messages and text messages and phonecalls. I waited until the day before just in case some got lost in the mail ( about 3 did).
